Aquarium Restaurant, Denver

Aquarium Restaurant at the Denver Aquarium.

The decor is delightful. Kids would really get a kick out of this place. We sure did.

The service people are amiable and engaging. The pre-dinner drinks were below par. The bread so-so. Thenceforth everything else was excellent; wine, salad, entree, dessert. We had a wonderful time there, a unique and fun place indeed. A great idea and I do wish we could have lingered but as usual we were holding them up closing, which they kindly obliged without rushing us.  I was stuffed.

"Two is salt, four is pepper."

"What? They're numbered?"

" Holes, Silly."

"Oh. Ha ha ha."

Turns out, we had two peppers. So much for hole codification.

The entree was grilled steak, better than the one I made for myself yesterday, grilled shrimp, garlic mashed potato, steamed mixed vegetables. The other entree was something seafood cannelloni, probably shrimp.

We were having so much fun that I forgot to photograph the entree. Oh well. Here, have yourself some fish instead.

Can you imagine those swimming by your head while you're having dinner? It makes you want to reach in there and grab one and eat it.

Oh, yeah. Food.

We didn't even bother to go down to look at the fish at the other end, we were perfectly satisfied with these. But, we understood we could go back and have an entirely different experience fish-wise.
