bacon-wrapped apricots with almond





Bacon-wrapped almond-stuffed dried apricots. Karen gave me this idea.

* Almonds toasted to develop their almondy goodness.
* Apricots dried commercially to concentrate their apricoty intrigue.
* Bacon oven-baked to crisp its bacony irresistibleness.
* Heated together to harmonize their individual excellences into a new creation unique to the universe that is simply extraordinary and transcends the sum of its parts. ← I made that up. It's probably in a cookbook somewhere.

It's intended for hors d'oeuvres but I made it dinner. Does that make me bad?
